Karla Fernández earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, from the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus and a Master degree in Human Resources from the Interamerican University.
Professional with more than ten years of experience in accounting related functions. Started her career as auditor and supporting payroll, taxes and bookkeeping in a local firm. Served in the automotive industry for seven years as Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager and Assistant controller and as controller in the Automotive and Aviation industries.
Teamwork oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, well organized, result driven and people oriented. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAGE, CDK.
Joined MEC Consulting Group in May 2016 as Senior Consultant. Her areas of experience include Management, Accounting cycle for small and medium customers, inventory, Forensic Accounting. Currently she is servicing the automobile, medical, insurance and service industries. Currently Vice President & Accounting Director for the firm.
